Lots of ways you can help
LIKE cats and want to help them? Spare time on your hands and want to do something rewarding? Then help us to help as many local felines as possible. Read on and please get in touch if you'd like to get involved. Any time or help you offer will be much appreciated, especially by the cats who need us.
ADOPT A CAT:
Please send a cheque made out to Eltham and Sidcup Cats Protection to our treasurer - for details click here
. This form can also be used for a standing order for regular donations. Or please bring your cheque to our shop (address below). Any amount you can give will be really appreciated.
Loving homes are always needed. You can see our cats and contact details in the Adopt A Cat section
. OUR SHOP:
We always welcome volunteers for shop work (sorting, pricing and serving customers) and to help with the cats we have in a pen there waiting to be adopted. Please also remember us if you have items to donate. For details, contact Jacqui on 020 8859 6009. The shop at 14 Tudor Parade, Well Hall Road, Eltham, London SE9 6SX, opens 10am to 3.30pm, Monday to Saturday (except Wednesday, when it opens at 1pm to allow for cleaning).KNITTING: If you like knitting, then toy
mice filled with catnip are popular at our shop and help raise funds. Also blankets (approx 2ft x 2ft) for our cats and to sell would be welcome. Donations of wool would also be gratefully received at our shop (see address above). Please phone or call into the shop and ask to speak to Viv. CAT FOOD AND LITTER:
Donations are very welcome. We have a collection bin at our shop so just drop them in (see address above). FOSTERING:
This is a very rewarding role looking after cats and kittens waiting for homes in a spare room or pen in the garden (which we can put up). You do need transport while the branch pays vet bills and for food and cat litter - and you supply the TLC! Use the Contact Us link to get in touch or click here
to download a Cats Protection leaflet with plenty of information.

AMAZON WISH LIST: Supporters can directly help cats in our care by purchasing food, litter, beds, litter trays, toys and other much-needed items. It only takes a click of the mouse and the items are sent direct to us. To help, please go to:
Turn your loose change into cat food with one of our handy collection boxes at your home, office or business.
This cat-shaped one (left) was sitting on a helper's hall table eating up small coins - and ended up with all this inside her.
It was only 1p, 2p and 5p coins but totalled £42, enough to buy lots of cat food and litter plus detergent, all vital for looking after our cats.
If you'd like your own box to 'feed', just pop into our shop in Tudor Parade, Well Hall Road, Eltham, London SE9 6SX, and see Jacqui. You can take it away and bring it back when it's full ... and know you're helping our cats.
BECOME A MEMBER: Join our branch for as little as £7 a year. You will receive our regular newsletter featuring all that's been happening, especially stories of cats we have homed and those waiting to be adopted. For a single, joint or family membership, it is £10 annually. For juniors, senior citizens (single or joint), and head office members, the cost is only £7. Please click here for a membership form.
LEAVE A LEGACY: Please consider helping us to carry on when you are no longer here. Please contact Clare on firstname.lastname@example.org for an information leaflet. If you wish to leave a legacy to us, please state clearly that it is to benefit the Eltham, Sidcup and District branch of Cats Protection. Any monies not specified for a branch go to our headquarters. In the unlikely event this branch ceases to exist, you should also give directions as to what area or purpose you wish your money to be used.
RUNNING A STALL: We have generous supporters who run stalls in aid of our work, donating all or part of their proceeds. Would you like to do the same? Maybe you make handicrafts, cards, cakes or other items, or collect bric-a-brac, which you sell at fairs and other events. If you could help us this way, please contact Lindsey on 07876 213766 or email@example.com
